    The visual I’m getting seems very Smashing Pumpkins, but I’m sure that isnt it, because a kid rock kind of guy isn’t there. Hmmm. (I think you mean playing chess?)

    any more info would be helpful.

    The singer from monster magnet looked bit like kid rock in the singer from monster.
    The headface hair could be them.

    The band that keeps coming to my mind is alice in chains there singer layne staley did die of drug overdose and think he kinda has kid rock look goin just with longer hair.
